ACG software is available, at discount, to applicants in
academic, government, or other non-profit settings who meet
certain criteria. If you answer yes to
all of the following questions and statements, you may be
eligible to purchase the software directly from JHU:
-
Do you work for an educational institution or government
agency, or alternately, are you conducting research under
the auspices of a government or research foundation grant?
-
Will the results of your research be made available
to the general public (i.e., disseminated to any interested
party or published in peer reviewed journals or both)?
-
The results of your research will not be used to
manage or finance patient care within your own or any
other organization.
If you answered yes to all three of the
preceding items, then proceed to the next stage, otherwise
please see our Commercial section.
Stage One: Complete and submit an ACG
application/order form indicating your funding sources,
the purposes for which you intend to use the ACG Case-Mix
System, and the manner in which you intend to make your
results public. Please be prepared to answer any questions
and to provide appropriate documentation.
Stage Two: After your application is approved,
we will forward the licensing agreement. Upon return receipt
of a signed copy of the academic licensing agreement together
with payment, we will mail you the software and corresponding
documentation.
Legal Caveats: The requirements for academic,
government or non-profit licensing include:
-
Use of the ACG software to support only government or
foundation financed, research studies. These studies
may not be used for any purpose related to the management
or financing of health care services for any patient
population within your organization or elsewhere.
-
Providing JHU with copies of all reports and/or articles
concerning your research using the ACG system.
-
Providing JHU a copy of the output produced by the ACG
software for any data reported in a final report, including
a list of 'non-matched' ICD codes that the software failed
to recognize.
-
Returning the software to us on or before the 2-year
anniversary of the licensing agreement.
